Stevenage have agreed terms with midfielders Sam Wedgbury and Simon Heslop.

Wedgbury makes the move to the Lamex Stadium from Macclesfield Town where he was a constant figure last season, making 43 appearances in midfield and being voted the club’s Player of the Season. The 24 year old began his career at non-league Worcester City and signed for the Silkmen in 2010, playing twice against the Boro in our League Two promotion season. He made over 100 appearances for the club in his three years at Moss Rose.

Heslop, 26, is a strong midfielder who can also play at right back, and joins from Oxford United where he made 90 appearances over 3 seasons.
