Manager Graham Westley has been speaking to Boro Player about this afternoon's game against Rotherham and pointed to fatigue as a factor for the defeat.
"I think these things can happen when you’re using the same 11, or largely the same 11, game after game after game," he told us. "There can come a moment when you run out of steam.
"We put a lot into winning on Tuesday. Certainly I was aware of the likelihood or potential for mental fatigue to overcome the team. We tried to work hard on it. But I have to say I didn’t manage to overcome it because it was a very lame performance.
"It was a very un-Stevenage-like performance."
