Preston could only manage a 1-1 draw at home to Colchester whilst Bradford were the only team in the playoff places to win yesterday, taking all three points in a 3-2 win at MK Dons. Nakhi Wells scored his 12th league goal of the season and is 11/2 to lead the League 1 goalscoring charts at the end of the campaign.
Walsall picked up a point with a goalless draw at Crawley whilst former Boro midfielder Jennison Myrie-Williams scored the winner as Port Vale came from behind to beat local rivals Crewe at Gresty Road. The Valiants move up to 9th whilst Crewe remain in 23rd.
The shock result of the day was at Sixfields where Tranmere moved out of the relegation zone with an impressive 5-1 win against highflying Coventry with Ryan Lowe notching a hat-trick.
