Three of our young loanees were in FA Trophy third qualifying round action this weekend with Michael Thalassitis the only one to record a victory.
The 20-year old had a fine game for Ebbsfleet who comfortably saw off Bromley 4-1 at Stonebridge Road The striker was denied by former Boro 'keeper Joe Welch early on but soon opened the scoring in the 15th minute with an excellent volley.
Elsewhere in the competition Matt Ball was a 72nd minute sub for Boreham Wood who suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Gloucester City. Meanwhile George Allen returned from suspension for Bishop’s Stortford but couldn’t prevent them from going down 2-1 at Whitehawk.
Finally, back in Sky Bet League 1, Marcus Haber played the full 90 minutes as Notts County fell to a narrow 1-0 home defeat to Wolves.
