Goalkeeper Chris Day spoke to Boro Player after today’s game and was pleased to pick up a home win in the league.
“It’s always nice to get a win under your belt, but when it’s your first one in the league at home it’s a bit more vital and special,” he said. “It’s always nice to win a local derby too, at any level, so that’s particularly sweet tonight.”
“We’ve worked hard at [the defence] this week. Even after Tuesday night’s win we were in the next day, preparing for the next game, working on the back four. We were getting ourselves organised.”
