GW: PLAYERS ATTITUDE WAS FIRST CLASS

12 October 2013

Stevenage manager Graham Westley was full of praise for his team after today's 2-1 win over Brentford.

"When you’ve not been in winning ways, to get back to winning ways is fab," he told us. "It’s a much better feeling on a Saturday night!

"I thought the players’ attitude to the game was first class. They stood up to the strong physical challenge that was thrown at them, they kept their discipline and they also stood up to the early goal being conceded.

"It would have been easy, with the run of form we’ve had in the league, for their heads to drop but they didn’t, they got themselves back on the front foot, took the game to them and got what they deserved, a creditable win.
