LOAN WATCH: SIX IN ACTION

20 October 2013

Find out how Boro's loanees got on this weekend

Six of Boro’s eight loanees were in action this weekend across three different divisions and one cup competition.

In Sky Bet League 1 on Friday night, Marcus Haber was a second half substitute for Notts County as they failed to overcome a 2-0 scoreline away at Swindon.

In Skrill Premier, Dani Lopez helped Barnet to their first win in four games with a 1-0 win at Hereford. The Spaniard started for the Bees and picked up a first-half caution before being replaced on 70 minutes. Ahmed Abdullah scored the only goal of the game 10 minutes before half time.

Anthony Furlonge could only watch from the bench as his Hayes & Yeading side threw away a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 to George Allen’s Bishop’s Stortford in Skrill South. Allen played the full 90 minutes at Kingfield as the Blues moved up to 4th in the table with their fourth win in five league games.

Elsewhere in the division Matt Ball was an 80th minute sub for Boreham Wood in their 1-0 defeat at Basingstoke Town. The young midfielder went close to a late equaliser with a jinking run and shot but saw his deflected effort well saved by the ‘keeper.

Meanwhile Michael Thalassitis was an unused sub in Ebbsfleet’s 2-1 home win against Gosport Borough, which saw former Boro players Ben May and Stacy Long score for Fleet.

Finally both Jhai Dhillon and Joseph N’Guessan helped St Neots Town to their first ever FA Trophy victory with a 3-1 win at Halesowen Town. Dhillon played the entire game whilst N’Guessan was an 84th minute sub.
