Four of Boro’s five loanees were in action this weekend with their teams scoring a combined total of 15 goals whilst conceding just one!

George Allen had arguably the most successful afternoon, playing the full 90 minutes as Bishop’s Stortford saw off Gosport Borough 4-0 at home in Skrill South. As well as keeping a clean sheet the young defender set up the Blues’ second with a quick free-kick and hit the bar with a deflected effort.

Michael Thalassitis was an 79th minute sub as Ebbsfleet romped to an impressive 6-0 win at third place Weston-super-Mare whilst Matt Ball was an 87th minute replacement as Boreham Wood picked up a point in a 1-1 draw with a late 93rd minute equaliser against Bromley.

Meanwhile in Sky Bet League One, Marcus Haber came on for the final 17 minutes and scored in the 83rd minute as Notts County thrashed Crewe 4-0 at Meadow Lane.
