Winger sweeps the board at end of season awards
Stevenage winger Luke Freeman swept the board at the end of season awards event yesterday, following the 3-2 home win against Walsall, with a hat-trick of accolades.
The midfielder, who was Boro’s match-winner with his 8th goal of the campaign in the 80th minute, picked up the Supporters Association Player of the Season, the Players’ Player of the Season and the Season Ticket Holders’ Player of the Season awards during the short presentation in the Broadhall Suite.
Manager Graham Westley addressed the crowded bar and thanked the fans for their brilliant support this season. Fans were also able to mix with the management and players after the awards, giving them the chance to chat with them, take photos and get autographs.
