LOAN WATCH: N'GUESSAN'S SHOTS IN FA CUP THIRD ROUND DRAW

8 December 2014

Only two of Boro’s loanees were in action this weekend, with mixed results, but a third could yet face one of the Premier League big boys in the third round of the FA Cup in early January.

Jo N’Guessan’s Aldershot are into the hat for tonight’s lucrative third round draw after a goalless stalemate at home to League 1 Rochdale on Saturday. The on-loan winger missed out on a place in the squad himself thanks to an ankle injury, but will be happy to see his side perform so well against an experienced side featuring former Boro midfielder Peter Vincenti.

In Vanarama Conference South, Rohdell Gordon scored as Chelmsford struck four times in the second half to ease past Hemel Hempstead at home. The midfielder secured the points with 18 minutes remaining, bursting into the box and slotting under the ‘keeper for Chelmsford’s second, before then starting the move which saw Lee Sawyer score a third for the Clarets 10 minutes later. The win gives City back-to-back league wins and moves them up to ninth, just two points off the playoffs.

George Allen’s Bishop’s Stortford were without a game as original opponents Salisbury City are now defunct, however it still proved a relatively successful day for the Blues with only one of the bottom seven sides in the division winning.

Finally Ferji Okenabirhie’s Farnborough had a day to forget, losing 7-0 at Concord Rangers. After scoring in last weekend’s FA Trophy win over Sholing, the young striker started the game but was substituted at half-time with his side 3-0 down.
