Kick-off: 2pm

Ticket news:
Stevenage fans will be situated in the Traditional Builders Stand at Dagenham with prices on the day as follows:

Adult: £21
Concession (over-65, students or registered disabled): £15
10-16: £12
Under-10: £10

Team news:
Stevenage are likely to stick with a similar squad to that which featured on Saturday although Lee Barnard will be a doubt after coming off after just 10 minutes. This game is likely to come slightly too early for Adam Marriott after his hamstring injury, with Calvin Zola unlikely to feature until the New Year. Both Jack Jebb (knee) and Jon Ashton (ankle) are out for several weeks with Harry Worley (ACL) and Connor Calcutt (ankle) remaining long-term absentees.

Dagenham captain Abu Ogogo is a doubt after a recent injury as are Ashley Hemmings and Zavon Hines. Patrick Agyemang could feature against Boro having recently signed on loan from Portsmouth.

Last season…
After recording 21st, 19th and 22nd placed finishes in Sky Bet League 2 since being relegated in 2011, Dagenham’s 9th placed finish last season was a remarkable improvement. In what was a ridiculously congested league table, the Daggers topped a group of 15 teams separated by just 10 points with an eight game unbeaten spell in March helping them to 60 points in total. Rhys Murphy struck 13 times in 35 games to finish as top scorer but has only made 9 appearances this year, four of which have been as sub.

The story so far…
Dagenham come into this game in 20th place, just two points clear of the relegation zone having picked up 21 points from their 21 games to-date. Wins against Carlisle (4-2) and Bury (2-0) are their only wins in their last nine league games whilst, much like Boro, the Daggers were knocked out in an FA Cup first round replay, losing 2-0 at Southport after the original tie finished goalless.

If Stevenage’s form on the road hasn’t been great, neither has Dagenham’s home form with seven defeats and just three wins at Victoria Road in Sky Bet League 2, during which time they’ve scored 12 and conceded 16. With games at Southend and against Bury to follow the Daggers will therefore be looking for a Boxing Day boost to help keep them clear of the teams below them.

Last time we met:
Stevenage’s most recent visit to Victoria Road was a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy first round game in September 2012. A poor first half display saw Boro 3-1 down at the break thanks to goals from Brian Woodall, Josh Scott and a Michael Spillane penalty, with Mark Roberts notching for Boro. Sub Robin Shroot further reduced the deficit with 17 minutes remaining but Gary Smith’s men couldn’t muster an equaliser and bowed out of the competition at the first round stage.

Boro: Arnold, Gray, N’Gala, Roberts, Charles, Grant (Haber), Risser, Tansey, Morais, Rogers (Shroot), Agyemang (Freeman)

Subs not used: Ball, Comminges

Betting with SkyBet:
A win would steady the ship nicely for both sides, and as such it may pay to expect a relatively tight affair. Stevenage are marginally prefered by League sponsors Sky Bet at 6/4, with Dagenham available at 17/10 and the draw 12/5. Dagenham’s Jamie Cureton remains a forward to be feared and he is the 5/1 favourite to score the first goal of the game with Charlie Lee 10/1 to score the final goal.
