Stevenage manager Graham Westley was a happy man after the club completed the loan signing of John Mousinho on transfer deadline day.
The midfielder returned to The Lamex on Friday in a move which GW hopes will prove a boost to his team.
The gaffer told us, “Everyone knows what a great player he can be. Everyone knows what an influential character he can be.
“Moose can get goals out of the middle of the park. He’s a fantastic athletic, a really rangy runner, a really athletic player. He’s got fantastic character, he’s a leader of men, he’s a voice, he’s energy and he’s got experience. He brings a lot to the party.
“We’ve got to hope that his fitness stays there. He’s had a difficult couple of years. I thought it was worth the gamble. We talked a lot within the club whether we should or whether we shouldn’t. In the end everyone agreed that the advantages outweighed the risks and we’ve brought him in until the end of the season.
“He’s a terrific character to have in, a very very good player. If he stays fit he’ll make a massive difference.”
