GW: A DIFFICULT AFTERNOON

11 January 2014

Manager Graham Westley was a disappointed man after his side fell  to a narrow 1-0 defeat at Oldham, in a game lacking in goalmouth action.

He told Boro Player, “Both goalkeepers were largely untroubled through the 90 minutes. It was a war of attrition out there, both defences were really on top.

“It’s disappointing to come away with nothing. There were a couple of moments where we threatened to pull something out of the game. I think we had slightly more of the possession. Did we really show the cutting edge? I don’t think so.

“It was a difficult afternoon, where both defences were largely on top. Had it finished 0-0 I don’t think anyone could’ve complained.”
