ZOKO SIGNS NEW DEAL

7 January 2014

NEW DEAL FOR TOP SCORER AND FREEMAN SET TO STAY TOO

The Club is delighted to announce that top scorer Francois Zoko has signed a new contract until the end of the 2013/14 season.

The Ivorian striker has scored 13 times in 19 games this season, including seven in cup competitions.

The 30-year old has been ever-present since his arrival at The Lamex in October on a short-term deal and will now remain with the Club as it continues to compete in both Sky Bet League 1 and the FA Cup.

Highly rated Luke Freeman also looks set to remain at the Club, at least until the summer, as bids from two League 1 clubs have been turned down.

Chairman Phil Wallace said, “We are delighted to have retained Francois and to be able to turn down bids for Luke which we feel do not accurately reflect his talent. The recent FA Cup success has provided some additional finances which, whilst going nowhere near to addressing the financial shortfall of 2013, have certainly helped us make these footballing decisions.“

Remember the next time to see both Francois and Luke in action at The Lamex Stadium is in a week’s time when we entertain Swindon in a rearranged league fixture. Tickets are available now and are cheaper to buy in advance.

Advance prices range from free to £18 on the terraces and £8 to £22 in the seats.  Visit www.borotickets.co.uk to book your ticket today!
