Stevenage Football Club currently has two vacancies for Crowd Doctor positions to join the operations team and provide event and match day medical cover at The Lamex Stadium.

The Crowd Doctors will report to the Football Secretary and work alongside the Safety Officer and St John Ambulance staff.

Duties will include, but are not limited to;

• Provision of emergency medical cover for the crowd at matches or events at the stadium.
• Development and implementation of medical best practice policies and procedures, including the Emergency Action Plan(s).
• Undertaking CPD as prescribed by the The FA, The Football League and the Club.

The ideal applicant(s) will have experience as an event doctor and be fully conversant with the duties involved. The candidate(s) must currently be registered with the GMC in pre-hospital (immediate) care and major incident management, and it is important for the successful applicant(s) to possess suitable medical indemnity insurance. Completion of the Immediate Medical Care "Crowd Doctor" course by the Faculty of Pre-hospital Care (Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh), or an equivalent, would also be desirable.

The role requires flexibility on Saturdays, Tuesday evenings and public holidays for attendance at all first team home fixtures to be covered between the two positions, i.e. 23 league games plus cup and friendly matches. Each position will be offered on a casual basis at £150 per session, plus two season tickets and assistance with CPD. The successful candidate(s) will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.

The closing date is 5.00pm on Friday 11th July. To apply, please send a CV and a covering letter to Chris Clark, Football Secretary, at
