Season ticket holder competition winner revealed
One lucky dad will be watching Stevenage’s entire league campaign at The Lamex Stadium for free next season after winning our recent season ticket holder competition.
Daniel Sims, who lives in Knebworth and has been a season ticket holder on the East Terrace with son Luke (7) for the past two years, was selected at random from the hundreds of applications who applied in time to be entered into a prize draw to win his season ticket money back.
He told us, “I’ve been a supporter for three or four years now since I moved into the area.
"I’ve always been a fan of the Premier League and top flight football but attending those games can be extremely time-consuming and as my son has grown up and developed into football I chose to bring him along to support his local club, which is Stevenage.
“This is our second year we’ve been season ticket holders. We also attended some games the year before when we first moved here. Luke is 7 so has an U12 season ticket for £25 which is a bargain and he likes the atmosphere on the East Terrace.”
When asked his initial thoughts on winning Daniel told us, “Total shock really. I’ve never won anything in my life before. To be given this cheque with my money back is great and I’m very pleased and extremely grateful.”
Even better he continued to say, “I’ll probably end up spending it in the club shop on memorabilia for Luke or booking a match day package with the Foundation and putting it back into the club.”
