Our big preview ahead of tomorrow night's game...

Crawley FC

Sky Bet League One stadium, Winfield Way, Crawley RH11 9RX

Kick-off: 19:45

Weather forecast: 5°c, cloudy

Referee: Ian Williamson

Boro look to have an almost fully fit squad when they travel to Crawley on Tuesday afternoon. Mousinho is likely to be available for selection again, whilst Fil Morais is the only doubt.

Graham Westley spoke about how important it is that the team have began picking up points and moving up the table.

“We responded as we had to, it was essential. We were nine points away from safety not so long ago and it was important that we did our best to correct that as soon as possible. Having got off to the bottom at the weekend and with the Shrewsbury result yesterday we can jump another place tomorrow night so we need to keep taking the steps that are there to be taken and it’s another big step we can take tomorrow.”

Crawley are currently on a six game unbeaten run in the league, so come into the game buoyant and full of confidence. An impressive win over Peterborough on Saturday was the icing on the cake of a terrific start to the year. Although currently placed in mid-table, Crawley will be eager to continue picking up points as they’re only 3 points ahead of the relegation zone. Due to postponements Crawley have up to six games in-hand on some teams so the club have to prepare for a hectic schedule between now and the end of the season.

Crawley haven’t found the net as often as they’d have liked this season – the team are ranked 22nd in the league for goal scoring, and their top scorers are joint on only 5 goals. However, the team’s defence have kept them in games and are ranked an impressive joint 6th for goals conceded.

Crawley are on a high after signing club hero, Matt Tubbs on loan from Bournemouth. Tubbs is one of Crawley’s most prolific goal scorers of all time and the Reds will be hoping he’ll add some much needed goals to the attack.

Tubbs was supposed to be on loan at Rotherham until the end of January although a lack of form meant the deal was cut short. Crawley and Tubbs made them regret that decision as in his first game back for the club he scored against the Millers to give his team the lead!

Since then Tubbs has continued to do what he does, and has scored five goals in five games for the club.
