Stevenage Football Club is pleased to announce a brand new and exciting initiative to restructure and enhance the current Youth Development Program by launching Shadow Squads alongside the Academy U9 – U16 teams, providing a clear Elite Player Pathway.
We will be offering a chance to experience life as an Academy player training alongside the Academy Squad and playing fixtures against other Professional Football Academy Development Squads.
All coaching sessions will be delivered by the Academy Coaches and follow the same syllabus as the Academy Squads. All sessions will have a presence from the Academy Medical Team and the Academy Management Team giving players a fantastic opportunity to be seen weekly and provide a seamless transition between squads when needed.
If you feel that you have the right qualities to be an Academy Player, are currently in the U7 – U15 age bracket and would like to attend an open trial please download this application form and return to the Stevenage FC Academy, Broadhall Way, Stevenage, SG2 8NP.
Details of the trials are as follows:
Tuesday 10th June
5pm – 6.30pm - U7, U8 and U11 age groups and goalkeepers at U7-U11 levels
6.30pm – 8pm - U12 age group and goalkeepers at U12-15 levels
Thursday 12th June
5pm – 6.30pm - U9 and U13 age groups
6.30pm – 8pm - U10 and U14 age groups
Please Note: if you wish to trial you will need to attend the age groups that you played in this season and there will be a charge of £10 for the 1½ hour trial which must be submitted with the application form. If selected for the Shadow Squads you will still be able to play for your local team as games will be arranged at different times.
