Stevenage will host Championship side Reading in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday 29th July (7.30pm).
Nigel Adkins is expected to bring his first team squad to The Lamex as the Royals continue preparations for the new Championship season looking for promotion, having narrowly missed out on the playoffs last season.
The teams have met twice in the FA Cup in recent seasons with Boro avenging their 2-1 Fourth Round home defeat in 2011 with a 1-0 win at the Madejski Stadium in the Third Round a year later.
