WEST HAM TO VISIT STEVENAGE IN PRE-SEASON

8 May 2014

Premier League giants to play at The Lamex Stadium in July

Stevenage FC can reveal that Premier League giants West Ham United will visit The Lamex Stadium in a high-profile pre-season friendly this summer.

The Hammers will make the short trip from East London on Saturday 12th July (3pm) as they gear up for the 2014/15 Premier League season.

Under Sam’s Allardyce’s leadership West Ham look set for a mid-table finish to the current campaign and will provide tough opposition for Boro as they prepare for a season in Sky Bet League 2.

Whilst the two sides have never met competitively, a number of current West Ham players have previously played at The Lamex. Kevin Nolan was part of the Newcastle United squad that lost 3-1 to Stevenage in the FA Cup Fourth Round in 2011. The experienced midfielder then returned with Hammers team-mates Joe Cole, Andy Carroll, Matt Jarvis, James Collins and Mark Noble for last year’s Mitchell Cole Benefit Game, in memory of the former Hammers and Boro winger.

Tickets for this exciting pre-season friendly are available online now at www.borotickets.co.uk and are priced as follows:
