We preview Saturday's game...

Cheltenham Town

Sky Bet League 2

Saturday 15th November

The Lamex Stadium, Stevenage, SG2 8RH

Kick-off: 3pm

Ticket news:

Tickets are still available at in-advance prices up until 5pm tomorrow in the club shop and online. Prices increase on matchday so get yours before and save a bit of cash! Also, if you are or know a Premier League or Championship season-ticket holder, we have a special offer for the international weekend.

Team news:

The biggest bit of team news this week is that Adam Marriott is back in training after a lengthy spell out with a hamstring injury. This weekend may come too soon for him but with the majority of our recently injured players now available, GW has a strong squad to choose from.

Last season…

Cheltenham finished 17th in League 2 last season, just five points away from the drop zone although they were never really in serious trouble of relegation. They got off to a poor start to the season, only picking up nine points through their first 10 games but slowly they picked up steam and started moving up the table. There was no such thing as a home advantage for the Robins though as they had the 22nd worst home record in the league and had the leakiest home defence.

The story so far…

Cheltenham started off the season at a lightning pace, winning four of their first five games and being one of the early pace-setters in the division. Since the end of August their form has been much less impressive, only winning two leagues since - coming at home to Northampton and away at Cambridge. The Robins most recently broke a two game losing streak in impressive fashion; thrashing Swindon 5-0 in the FA Cup.

Recent form:

Last time we met:

Boro overpowered Cheltenham, back in February 2011 as they won 4-0 at the Lamex to move within three points of the play-offs. Byron Harrison, now of Cheltenham, bagged a brace whilst Mark Roberts and Michael Bostwick also got on the score-sheet.
