Team news:

Chris Beardsley is likely to be out after struggling to shake off a hamstring injury but Charlie Lee may be available to play again after missing Burton with a minor calf strain. Despite hobbling off on Monday night, GW hasn't ruled out Dean Parrett's chances of being available. Jon Ashton and Roarie Deacon are both close to a return although it is difficult to say whether they will be involved tomorrow.

In longer term news, David McAllister should return to training next week whist Harry Worley has now completed a month's full training. Adam Marriott and Calvin Zola are both someway away from a return whilst Darius' six week follow up with his consultant went well by all accounts.

View from the dressing room:

Speaking on Thursday afternoon, GW says that the difference between the top and bottom teams is minor and that it is all about the margins.

The story so far…

After getting relegated from League One last season, Tranmere have struggled to adjust and find themselves in the bottom two with only seven games to go. The club have been stuck in-and-around the relegation zone for the whole season and their current form shows that it will go right until the final few games. Micky Adams took over from Rob Edwards in October with the club bottom of the league and in truth, he has failed to make the impact the club would have hoped.

Betting with Sky Bet:

Boro are home favourites at 10/11 with official league sponsors, Sky Bet - almost even money.

Our shortest price in the first goalscorer market is Kevin Lisbie - 5/1 to open the scoring with what would be his first for the club.

Dean Wells is on four goals for the season and is always a threat from set-pieces, so he might be worth an outside bet of 20/1 to score first or 6/1 anytime.

Don't forget, for every pound you bet with Sky Bet, you’ll earn a Transfer Fund Token giving you a chance of winning £5,000 for yourself and £250,000 for us to spend on players in the Sky Bet Transfer Fund.
