We look ahead to Saturday's game at home to the Wombles...

AFC Wimbledon

Sky Bet League 2

Saturday 10th January

The Lamex Stadium, Stevenage, SG2 8RH

Kick-off: 3pm

Ticket news:

Tickets are still available at in-advance prices up until 5pm tomorrow in the club shop and online. Prices increase on matchday so get yours before and save a bit of cash! We’re also currently selling tickets for York away, Shrewsbury away and Oxford at home, all taking place before the end of the month.

Team news:

Bad news first; McAllister and Brunt have returned to their parent clubs after successful loan spells ended this week. However, it’s believed there are no fresh doubts ahead of the weekend and Harry Worley is edging ever closer to a return as this week he’s been out running for the first time since suffering his ACL injury.

The story so far…

Wimbledon have had a first half of the season much like ourselves, a lack of consistency meaning that wins have been often followed up by draws or defeats, and draws or defeats have been often followed up by wins. However, much like ourselves the last month has been their best of the season as they picked up four wins out of five. The loss of their top scorer, Matt Tubbs will be of concern to Dons fans though as they failed to keep hold of the striker despite the club working “incredibly hard” to keep him.

Recent form:

Last time we met:

Boro got their first away win of the season at Kingsmeadow as Wells, Lancaster and Lee all scored to secure a memorable win. The game will be best remembered for Cameron Lancaster’s extraordinary effort which put Boro ahead 2-1 before Lee made it three. Azeez scored late on to put a few nerves amongst the Stevenage fans but the boys held out despite a few nervy moments at the end.

Betting with SkyBet:

Stevenage are great value for the win on Saturday; better than evens with Sky Bet at 7/5. The odds are particularly generous considering we're unbeaten at home since the beginning of October, including five wins out of seven. A win to nil is 100/30, not bad after three clean sheets out of four.

Our main man in front of goal recently has undisputedly been Charlie Lee, with three goals in his last four games and for him to score anytime, Sky Bet are offering 2/1.
