The story so far…

York are the league’s draw specialists this season and by some distance. The Minstermen have drawn 12 of their 25 games, the second most is 8 by Wycombe and Southend. What is more of a concern though and of some comfort to Boro fans is that at home, York have only won one game, drawing seven and losing four. They’ve been much stronger on the road, as demonstrated earlier in the season at the Lamex.

Recent form:

Last time we met:

Boro came out on the wrong end of a five goal thriller at the Lamex back in September as York won 3-2. It took only three minutes for York to take the lead and on 15 minutes, Fletcher made it 2-0 leaving a mountain to climb. It got worse on 30 minutes when Andy Bond was sent off but Boro rallied in the second half and two quick-fire goals from Whelpdale and Pett drew us level before a late York penalty was the final swing of the pendulum.

Betting with SkyBet:

Boro are a meaty 12/5 for the win on Saturday, the bookies clearly fancying the home team who have won once at their own ground all season and are sitting in 19th, over the in-form away team pushing to reach the play-off places.

York have only scored 9 goals at home this season, the lowest in the league and a Boro win to nil is priced at 9/2.
