BORO'S BIG DAY OUT INFORMATION PACK

1 July 2015

All the details about our Big Day Out this Saturday...

Boro’s Big Day Out is just days away so we wanted to remind you of everything’s that happening on the day...

Our unique summer event aims to bring the town together with a whole host of activities, including the chance to meet Teddy Sheringham at "Meet the Manager" at midday, the opportunity to take a tour around the stadium* and then enjoy a range of live music and entertainment with BoroFest right through to 10.30pm!

Tickets
Tickets remain available in advance at www.borotickets.co.uk and cost just £5 adults and are free for U16s. Wristbands will be distributed upon entry at the main club car park and must be worn at all times. Visitors with advance tickets will gain easier entry on the day and the wristband will allow for re-entry if required.

Stadium Tour
Fans will be able to take a short tour around the West Stand from midday, commencing at the Directors Entrance and allowing them to take in the hospitality areas, boardroom, away changing room, press box and the home and away dugouts. The home dressing room is currently being redesigned for the new season and will unfortunately be closed to the public.

*Please note: Fans looking to take this short tour will need to have commenced through the Director’s Entrance by 12.20 to allow them enough time to complete prior to our Meet the Manager event.

Meet the Manager
Our Meet the Manager session with Teddy Sheringham and his players will take place from 12.45pm on the main stage until approximately 1.30pm. Fans will be able to listen to Teddy introduce his backroom staff and players and give his thoughts on the season ahead. On conclusion the players and management will be returning to Bragbury End for the second part of Saturday’s double-training session!

BoroFest
BoroFest commences straight after Meet the Manager with music from the Ace of Hearts roadshow before Roxy Searle is the first of our live acts at 2.30pm. The music continues right through to Rockface, who are on until 10.30pm.

There are some great acts throughout the afternoon and evening but of particular interest to Boro fans will be East Terrace regular Mark Hollis’ band High Wire Brigade at 3.50pm, with PA announcer Jamie Drackford’s band NOVA on at 7.30pm.

You can listen to some of the bands performing on Saturday right here.

Refreshments
Two fully licensed bars will be on site throughout the day selling a selection of beers, ales, cider, wines and soft drinks whilst various food outlets, including Papa Johns pizza and our match day caterers Hertfordshire Events, will also be on-site.

With glorious weather currently forecast there will be plenty of water available and also an ice-cream man. Please note no alcohol can be bought onto the site.

Other activities
We’ve a host of other activities to keep you entertained throughout the afternoon and evening including the STS Tyre Pros “Through the Tyre” Challenge, the new Stevenage FC Foundation speed gun game, a range of inflatables for youngsters and a variety of local stalls.

A large number of Stevenage FC prizes will be available on the tombola, where any tickets ending in a ‘0’ or ‘5’ wins! Ticket number 500 will win the top prize of a free season ticket, with a signed home shirt and free pre-season friendly tickets also up for grabs. Tickets cost just £1 for three attempts.

The club shop will also be open from 12pm-5pm, allowing fans to purchase the latest home or away kit, a variety of leisurewear and of course purchase season tickets and tickets for our upcoming friendlies against Nottingham Forest, Millwall and Spurs XI.

Parking
Fans driving to the site are encouraged to park at Fairlands Valley and walk to the stadium via the underpass. There is no public parking available on-site (including Executive Suite and East Terrace car parks) and neither will visitors be able to park at Roaring Meg retail park.
