ADAM MARRIOTT SIGNS NEW EXTENDED CONTRACT

15 June 2015

Adam Marriott has signed a new extended contract with Stevenage FC.

The 24-year old striker arrived at The Lamex Stadium last summer after a prolific season with Cambridge City in which he struck 45 goals in all competitions.

Injury restricted Adam to just 15 appearances last season however his all-action displays impressed many and provide plenty of optimism for the season ahead under Teddy Sheringham.

Speaking to us moments after signing his new deal Adam told us, "I'm absolutely delighted. The Club has shown a lot of patience with me through my injury but hopefully that's over now and I can kick-on this season and repay them."

Looking to the forthcoming campaign he said, "I don't see why we can't push again. We've got the nucleus of last year's squad, we've gelled together well and we're looking to take it into next season and get promoted. I've met the manager a couple of times, he seems a laid-back character and hopefully we play some great attacking football which will benefit me and entertain the fans!"
