SEND IN YOUR PHOTOS AND MEMORIES FOR RETRO DAY!

31 March 2015

Sponsored by

Dig out those snaps and tell us your best Boro memories ahead of Retro Day!

Stevenage's Good Friday fixture against Tranmere Rovers (3pm) is Retro Day and we need your photos and memories to make one particular part of the day a success.

Pre-match we plan to hold a small exhibition in the Broadhall Suite showing images from times gone by of teams, managers, key games, key players and memorabilia - but an important part of this will be your photos.

Have you got some Boro-related photos up in the loft or on the computer at home? If so then we'd love to hear from you. Whether you've got just a couple of photos (maybe of a particular game or you wearing your Boro shirts abroad on holiday) or a whole collection from over the years, we'd love to include those in our exhibition if you're happy to contribute.

Similarly if you have any great memories (you must have loads!) of supporting Stevenage you'd care to share with us, we'd love to hear from you.
  • What has been your favourite game (home or away) and why?
  • Who has been your favourite ever player and why?
  • Who has been our most successful manager in your eyes?
  • What were your first memories of The Lamex Stadium?
  • What are your best memories of supporting Stevenage?
  • What makes you proud to be a Boro fan?
If you have answers to any of the above questions and have two minutes to spare, let us know and we'll include your responses in our exhibition.

You can email any images you have or memories you'd care to share to davet@stevenagefc.com. Alternatively if you have photos in a non-digital format you'd like to lend us, simply drop them into the club shop with your name and details and we can return them after Retro Day.

Elsewhere on Retro Day we want you to dig out all your old Stevenage home shirts, wear your favourite one to the game and we could be picking you out of the crowd for a half-time parade on the pitch.

In the days leading up to the game we’ll be looking back online at some of our most high profile games over the past 20 years using some great photos we’ve been given exclusive access to. We’ll also be giving fans the chance to vote for their favourite ever Stevenage home shirt.

Some great work has been carried out over the years by the Supporters Association, the Stevenage FC History website, BoroGuide and also Boro Memories Day to document our great club’s history and we hope our first ever Retro Day will prove another fitting tribute to the collective and individual memories of the club.

Tickets for this game can be purchased now at www.borotickets.co.uk.
