UP NEXT: SOUTHEND (PLAY-OFFS)

9 May 2015

Our preview of Sunday's game...

Southend United

Sky Bet League 2 Play-Offs, Semi-Final First Leg

Sunday 10th May 2015

The Lamex Stadium, Stevenage, SG2 8RH

Kick-off: 6:35pm

Ticket news:

You can book tickets online up until midnight tonight (Sat 9th May) for collection at the ticket office on Sunday.

If you wake up on Sunday without a ticket to the game, don't worry! Cash turnstiles will be open for both the East and North Terrace but we only have a handful of West Stand seats available. The ticket office and club shop is open from 3pm where you can also buy a ticket before heading to the turnstiles.

Team news:

After last Saturday’s changes, we expect to see the usual suspects back in the side tomorrow. The likes of Ronnie, Calvin Zola & Harry Worley will hope that the minutes they gained against Luton will have put them in good stead to contribute over these next few games.

The story so far…

Southend dropped out of the automatic promotion places on the final day of the season; a 3-1 loss at Morecambe meaning they dropped in the play-off places. It was a remarkable run of form late in the season that put them in such a good position, 7 wins without conceding in a row and their away form was the fourth best in the league across the season, 12 wins out of 23.

Last time we met:

Betting with Sky Bet:

Boro are home favourites at 7/5 with official league sponsors, Sky Bet.

We are the outsiders according to the bookies in terms of winning promotion, 4/1 ahead of the first leg. A positive result tomorrow will see this price shorten.

Bit of a long shot but last time we met Southend at the Lamex it ended 4-2, it is 100/1 for tomorrow’s result to end the same.

Don't forget, for every pound you bet with Sky Bet, you’ll earn a Transfer Fund Token giving you a chance of winning £5,000 for yourself and £250,000 for us to spend on players in the Sky Bet Transfer Fund.
