JOHNSTONE'S PAINT TROPHY - PENALTIES A POSSIBILITY TONIGHT!

7 October 2015

A reminder of the rules in the JPT...

Stevenage begin their Johnstone's Paint Trophy campaign against Dagenham & Redbridge this evening (7.45pm) and prior to the second round game at The Lamex, we wanted to remind you of a couple of the rules of the competition that differ from normal league games:

Full Strength Team Policy
Each club must include in its starting line-up at least six of the eleven players who started the Club fixture immediately preceding or following the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie. Alternatively, a club must include in its starting line-up at least six of the eleven players who have made the most starting appearances in League and domestic cup competitions during the season so far.

Extra Time
There is no extra time in any round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy prior to the Final. If the scores remain level after ninety minutes in any game then the tie will immediately be settled by a penalty shootout. This happened to Stevenage two years ago in the area semi-final at Swindon, when the Robins won 3-1 on spot-kicks.

Substitutes
Only five substitutes are named in The Johnstone’s Paint Trophy

Entry to tonight's game is just £5 for Under-16s with adults and concessions only £10. Gates open at 6.30pm and kick-off is 7.45pm.
