The story so far…

Northampton have had a strong start to the season, sitting 5th as things stand with a win potentially lifting them into the automatic promotion spots. Off the field the club are plagued by stories about its future but the players and management team have cast that aside in an impressive fashion. Last time out the Cobblers came back from behind to beat Carlisle 3-2 and Marc Richards has started the season in form as usual, 7 goals so far for the experienced striker.

Head to Head:

Boro need to end their Sixfields hoodoo as in three visits (four if you include when Coventry played there), we are yet to score and have lost every match. Altogether we have played six games; losing four, drawing one and winning one.

Our last meeting:

That one win came in our last meeting back in April, cue wild scenes as Simon Walton scored late on to keep the Cobblers at bay in the hunt for the play-offs.

Betting with Sky Bet:

You can get big returns on a Boro win tomorrow as league sponsors, Sky Bet have us priced at a hefty 3/1.

Favourites to score first are Chris Whelpdale and Armand Gnanduillet, both 8/1.
