RILEY, CHARLIE & MATTHEW ENJOY MEMORABLE AFTERNOON AT BRAGBURY END

Young Boro fans enjoy visit to training ground as part of our Kids Takeover

Teddy Sheringham has had some challenging questions to answer in his opening two months of management, however none was as tricky as when three young Stevenage fans interviewed him and his players at Bragbury End as part of our Kids Takeover this afternoon.

Riley Geary (10) and Charlie (8) and Matthew (7) Montgomery were selected from exactly 50 young applicants - twice as many as February's first Takeover - to enjoy a memorable afternoon on us at the 40-acre training facility.

Their afternoon began with a tour around the training building, visiting all the different rooms used by the players and staff. This included a look around the (remarkably empty) treatment room, looking in the kitchen and kit room and even trying to lift a few weights in the gym and then watching training.

Then, armed with questions galore, the cheeky trio sat in on the weekly press conference with Teddy Sheringham and the local press before unleashing their own unique questions, filmed by both Sky Sports News and BBC London. Charlie Lee, Tom Pett and Chris Day were also put in the hot-seat and had to answer a number of questions including and "can you tell us a joke." You can see Charlie Lee's effort in the below video...

After being interviewed by Sky Sports News themselves, our young fans had worked up an appetite and enjoyed lunch prepared for them by our Bragbury End chef James. Brett Williams was also on hand to lose at table-tennis to the boys.

As well as some great memories and their own TV interview, the boys left with a signed football each, autographs, photos and some signed presents from Charlie, Tom and Daisy.

Our Kids Takeover continues this Saturday when eight more youngsters will be experiencing life behind-the-scenes at The Lamex Stadium in some very special roles including Chairman for the Day, Mini Manager, Junior Kit Man, Junior Safety Officer, Media Assistant and PA Assistant. Young away fans from Plymouth are also getting involved with an away mascot and Visiting Director being welcomed to The Lamex.

Tickets for Saturday’s game against Plymouth can be purchased at ‘in advance’ prices until midday on Friday 4th September. Click here to buy tickets online.
