Team news:

Dale Gorman, Ryan Johnson and Jesse Joronen are all back with the squad after going out on international duty. Ryan Johnson gets a special mention after not only earning his first cap for the Northern Ireland U21’s but also for bagging his first goal!

Ronnie is almost back to full strength after playing the majority of Tuesday’s reserves game against Leyton Orient.

Rohdell Gordon, Steven Schumacher, David McAllister and Ben Kennedy are all definitely out and the gaffer told the press on Friday morning that there were three unexpected knocks picked up since Thursday’s training session, although he wouldn’t name who they are.

The story so far…

York have got off to a slow start to the season although their last outing was a 3-0 win at Newport.

After losing to Wycombe and Hartlepool in their first two league games, they bounced back with a win at home to Yeovil. A draw at Exeter was followed by a disappointing home loss to Mansfield before the impressive Newport victory.

Head to Head:

Historically, Boro have a far superior head to head record against York: 8 wins, 4 draws and just 3 losses since our first meeting in 2004.

Rather surprisingly, we have performed better away than at home, having only been beaten once at Bootham Crescent whilst losing twice to the Minstermen at the Lamex.

Of course, one of those times came last season when York won 3-2 in Stevenage and our only “neutral” meeting came at Wembley for the FA Trophy final in 2007 when Boro won 2-0!

Our last meeting:

Betting with Sky Bet:

Boro are home favourites on Saturday but with some solid value - 6/4 with official league sponsors, Sky Bet.

After winning 2-1 at home last weekend, you can back the same score at 9/1 and if you think Boro will again go into the break ahead and come out with a win, a half-time/full-time bet is 3/1.
