LOAN WATCH: DIPO AT THE DOUBLE WITH ASSISTS

18 April 2016

A quick look at how our players out on loan did this weekend...

In the Ryman Premier Division, Dipo Akinyemi provided two assists as Dulwich Hamlet beat Lewes 2-1 at home.

The young striker laid on goals in the 40th and 45th minute as the hosts took a healthy advantage into the break in front of an impressive crowd of 2,467 at Champion Hill.

That result keeps them in 5th position in the table – the final playoff place - two points ahead of Enfield Town with just one league game remaining. Dulwich are away at relegation-threatened Needham Market next Saturday, knowing a point should be enough to secure a playoff place thanks to a superior goal difference over Enfield, who are away at league champions Hampton & Richmond Borough.

In the Vanarama National League, Rohdell Gordon was a second half sub for Bromley who fell to a 2-0 home defeat to Torquay United. Rohdell came on in the 53rd minute after Bromley were reduced to 10 men, but saw his side concede a late second to condemn them to defeat and confirm Torquay’s great escape from relegation.

George Casey’s St Neot’s Town were due to host Chesham United in the Southern Premier division but this match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
