Team news...

Overall, the squad is in good shape ahead of Saturday’s game with 23 players out training on Thursday. Greg Luer and Keith Keane could both be in contention again after resuming training this week whilst Bradley Pritchard also has a chance of returning to the team.

Further down the line, Charlie Lee is ahead of schedule and we could see him on the pitch again before the season is out whilst it is looking like an uphill task for Adam Marriott and Lee Cox to feature again this year.

The story so far…

Newport are just two points ahead of Stevenage in the table after a turbulent season for the club on and off the pitch. Currently on a run of 5 defeats in a row and without a win in 7, Newport manager Warren Feeney has spoken about how desperate the club are to move off 41 points and secure their status in the Football League for next season.

Head to Head...

Boro have only played Newport three times across our respective histories, the first meeting coming in December last season when Aaron O’Connor scored to help the Exiles win 2-0 at Rodney Parade.

Stevenage won the reverse fixture 2-1 and in our most recent meeting a late Mark Hughes goal helped rescue Boro a point.
