Last Season

Although a certain Mr Sarll may now hold the distinction of youngest manager in League Two, that takes nothing away from an impressive performance from Adam Murray last season. His Mansfield side improved on their 21st place finish, surprising many by scraping into the top-half by virtue of goal difference. The double over local rivals Notts County was a particularly memorable highlight of a strong season, especially the 5-0 romp at home.

Key Players
Keeping hold of Matt Green could prove important, with the striker netting 15 times last season. Otherwise, Tanzanian winger Adi Yussuf will look to provide creative strength in attack, with new widemen Ashley Hemmings and Kevan Hurst equally eager to impress. George Taft and Ryan Bennett arrive with experience of promotion to League One in defence, so will hope to be able to help the Stags get to League One for the first time since 2003.
