Adebayo Akinfenwa (AFC Wimbledon), Paris Cowan-Hall (on loan from Millwall), Dayle Southwell (Boston United) and Myles Weston (Southend United).
Aaron Holloway (Fleetwood Town), Max Kretzschmar (Woking), Alex Lynch, Ryan Sellers (released) and Gozie Ugwu (Woking).
A stubborn defence and a goal-shy attack for the Chairboys meant a mid-table finish. Wanderers only scored 45 goals last season; the fourth worst in League Two. However, they only conceded 44 goals; the second best record in League Two. With only one win over two goals against relegated York City, it’s clear that the frontline needs to improve. The fact that defender Michael Harriman was joint top scorer with 8 goals says everything.
After advertising his availability on WhatsApp, Adabeyo Akinfenwa obviously caught the attention of Gareth Ainsworth, who was quick to snap up the striker. His presence will be huge up front for the Chairboys. Paris Cowan-Hall and Myles Weston will also provide width and will look to provide the chances. Michael Harriman and Aaron Pierre were a crucial part of a stalwart defence, and will look to match or better their impressive defensive display last season.
