Team news:

Newport will be without midfielder Sean Rigg through suspension after his red card at Plymouth on Saturday, but welcome back defenders Darren Jones and Paul Bignot who themselves have been missing because of bans.

Stevenage could welcome back Matt Godden and Kgosi Ntlhe after both missed Saturday's game through injury. Luke Wilkinson returns from suspension and there could also be a recall for Tom Pett and Michael Tonge after both impressed as subs at the weekend. Tom Conlon (ACL) is out for the season.

The last time we met:

Goals from Jake Mulraney and Aaron O'Connor helped Boro to a 2-1 home win back in April.

Newport's season so far:

Newport currently sit rock bottom of the division with 17 points from their 18 games so far. However since Graham Westley was appointed manager in October their form has been steadily improving and the Exiles were recently on a seven-match unbeaten run, during which they picked up three home wins in various competitions. Successive league defeats to Wycombe and Blackpool has dented that progress however they drew 0-0 at Plymouth at the weekend to secure an FA Cup replay and their name in tonight's third round draw.

Newport last five results:

Plymouth 0-0 Newport (FA Cup)

Blackpool 4-1 Newport

Newport 0-1 Wycombe

Notts County 0-3 Newport

Newport 2-0 AFC Wimbledon (Checkatrade Trophy)
