PHIL WALLACE: "NO TIMELINE FOR US TO CHANGE ANYTHING"

18 February 2016

Stevenage FC chairman Phil Wallace has provided his thoughts on recent events at the club and confirmed the need to finish the season strongly.

"It's been a dramatic few weeks on the pitch - Darren Sarll has had one disappointment and two joyous events in his three games in charge, suffering a home defeat against Crawley but then bouncing back with wins against Hartlepool and Cambridge.

"We've had a pile of applications for the managerial role but there's no timeline for us to change anything. Darren is managing the team and so far he's done an admirable job. We need to finish the season strongly and with the talented lads we have here there's no reason why we can't do that, especially as a few are starting to come back from injury”.

Striker Adam Marriott played 90 minutes in a midweek friendly against Crystal Palace, whilst Pat Hoban, Dean Wells, Dean Parrett, Chris Whelpdale, Jerome Okimo and David McAllister are not far away from a return to the squad. Talented teenager Ben Kennedy is also making speedy progress and expected to return next month.
