SPACES REMAINING ON SPRING NCS PROGRAMME

11 February 2016

16/17 year olds can still sign up for Foundation's latest NCS course...

Stevenage Football Club Foundation is heading off on its latest NCS trip next week and there are still spaces available to sign up!

National Citizen Service is a government designed programme to engage 16/17 year olds and runs with the following 6 principles: Increased Responsibility and Independence, Social Action, Social Mixing, Challenge, Reflection and Inspiration.

Spring NCS is a condensed version of the Summer programme and lasts for one full intensive week, followed by several weekends/evening sessions that are based on planning and delivering a Social Action Project which gives something back to the community.

The dates for the upcoming programme are as follows:
Monday 15th February to Thursday 18th February
Residential stay at the Kingswood Centre in West Runton, Norfolk. Whilst staying at the centre, young people take part in activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, team building, archery, fencing, aeroball and much more!

Friday 19th, Saturday 20th, Sunday 21st – Based at Stevenage FC.
This part of the programme is made up with a variety of workshops that will help develop skills you will need in the future.

After these initial dates, the young people are required to design, plan and then deliver a Social Action Project that gives something back to the local community we live in.

The cost for the whole programme is just £50. If you are interested in filling one of these last remaining spaces, please get in contact with Dani Burge or Joe Goude on 01438 222 222 or ncs@stevenagefc.com.
