Get behind the boys for Darren Sarll's first game in caretaker charge...

Crawley Town

Sky Bet League 2

Saturday 6th February 2016

The Lamex Stadium, Stevenage, SG2 8RH

Referee: Gavin Ward

Kick-off: 3pm

Ticket news:

Tickets for tomorrow’s game are available at in-advance prices up until 5pm in the club shop and midnight online. You will be able to buy from either the club shop or the turnstiles tomorrow, should you wish to pay on the day.

Team news:

Michael Tonge is likely to miss out having been forced off with a hamstring injury against York. Offrande Zanzala and Ronnie Henry’s chances of playing are both also in the balance after Ronnie tweaked his calf ahead of last weekend’s game and Zanzala did the same with his shoulder.

Chris Whelpdale is due to return training within the next 10-14 days whilst Adam Marriott is expected to join back up with the lads next week.

Jerome Okimo is looking at a return to training around the end of February, Ben Kennedy will be more close to mid-March and David McAllister is about two to three weeks away still.

Finally, Steven Schumacher is continuing to progress well from his ACL injury. Although he won’t play again this season, he should be in great condition by the time pre-season comes around.

The story so far…

Only ourselves have a worse six game run of form than Crawley – five defeats in their last six has sent the West Sussex club tumbling down the table but are still six points ahead of the Boro going into the game.

It has been Crawley’s away form that has let them down this season, just three wins away from the Checkatrade.com Stadium and nine defeats.

Head to Head:

Over the course of 19 competitive games, Stevenage come out on top over the course of time with ten wins to Crawley’s six. Our last victory over the Reds came in 2013 at the Lamex when Michael Doughty and Peter Hartley both scored to secure a 2-0 win.

Familiar Faces:

There will be plenty of familiar faces making a return to the Lamex tomorrow on both the playing and coaching side of the Crawley Town staff.

Jimmy Dack, former assistant boss here at Stevenage will be on the opposition bench, assisting manager Mark Yates.

In terms of players – Jon Ashton, Roarie Deacon, Jimmy Smith, Simon Walton and Lee Barnard could all be involved having all played for Stevenage at some point over the past few years.

Our last meeting:

It was the case of another last minute winner for the opposition when we played Crawley on Boxing Day – Roarie Deacon coming back to haunt us with a close range finish off Simon Walton’s free-kick.

Betting with Sky Bet:

Boro are home favourites for the win on Saturday – 23/20 with official league sponsors, Sky Bet.

Think Stevenage will win with both teams scoring? That is 100/30 whilst if you are feeling super confident, Boro with a one goal handicap is 3/1.
