Piero Mingoia (Accrington Stanley), George Maris (Barnsley), Medy Elito (Newport County), David Gregory (Crystal Palace), Blair Adams (Notts County), Joe Pigott (Charlton Athletic), Max Clark (on loan from Hull City) and Tom Dallison (on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion).
Chris Dunn (released), Sam Beasant (released), Ryan Donaldson (Plymouth Argyle) and Robbie Simpson (released).
A 9th placed finished marked Cambridge United’s best season since returning to the Football League, with some impressive results along the way too. The 7-0 demolition of Morecambe will be remembered fondly. That result, however, was just one in an eight match unbeaten run at the end of the season. Although it wasn’t quite enough for the Us to make the play-offs, there are certainly signs of progress from the 2014/15 season.
Now in his testimonial year at Cambridge, Josh Coulson has been through it all with the Us, and now provides a key part of a sturdy backline with Leon Legge. In midfield, former Boro midfielder James Dunne seems to have settled well and could be a key player alongside Harrison Dunk and Luke Berry. In terms of scoring goals, Piero Mingoia and Joe Pigott should have that covered- at least until Barry Corr returns from injury.
Win Outright: 12/1
Top 7: 6/5
