2016/17 FIXTURES - THE DERBIES

22 June 2016

Find out when Boro's biggest games of 2016/17 will be!

When the 2016/17 League Two fixtures were released at 9am this morning, many Stevenage fans will have immediately been looking out for our local derby fixtures.

While the likes of Leyton Orient and Colchester United are also relatively short trips this season for Darren Sarll's men, it's the trio of Barnet, Cambridge and Luton that most fans will have been eagerly awaiting.

We don't have to wait long either with Luton Town due to visit The Lamex on Saturday 20th August in only our second home league game of the season. Our return visit to Kenilworth Road is on Saturday 11th March, where Boro will be hoping to repeat last season's excellent late 1-0 win, courtesy of a Michael Tonge penalty.

In December we travel to Barnet on Saturday 17th, looking to avenge last year's 3-2 defeat, before entertaining Cambridge United at home on Boxing Day. The reverse fixtures are also on consecutive weekends with Stevenage travelling to Cambridge on Saturday 25th March and then hosting Barnet at home on Saturday 1st April.

Stevenage FC derby fixtures
Luton (H) - Saturday 20th August
Barnet (A) - Saturday 17th December
Cambridge (H) - Monday 26th December
Luton Town (A) - Saturday 11th March
Cambridge United (A) - Saturday 25th March
Barnet (H) - Saturday 1st April

Remember the best way to watch all the Stevenage FC action throughout 2016/17 is with a season ticket right here at The Lamex Stadium!
