Stevenage Ladies will attempt to retain silverware this Sunday (13th March) when they play Watford Ladies U19 Development side in the Hertfordshire Women's County Cup Final.
The final will see Stevenage, the current holders of the competition after a 3-0 win over Hemel Hempstead last year, face an in-form Watford side at The County Ground in Letchworth.
The team reached the final after comfortable wins over Hoddesdon Owls and Garston Ladies before a dramatic 4-2 semi-final win after-extra-time against Royston Town Ladies. A victory on Saturday could set up a potential double with the first team also second in the Eastern Region Premier Division, three points behind leaders Billericay Town but with four games in hand.
Meanwhile opponents Watford compete in the Greater London Women's Football League
and currently top that division with 10 wins and two draws from their 12 games, with a goal difference of +37. They beat Stevenage Ladies Reserves, Bishop's Stortford Ladies and Hemel Hempstead Town Ladies to reach this final.
