STEVENAGE FC TO PAY ITS RESPECTS ON SATURDAY

11 November 2016

Poppy sellers, bucket collection, limited edition matchballs and more on Saturday as we remember the fallen...

Stevenage welcome Yeovil Town to The Lamex Stadium this Saturday 12th November, which is our annual Remembrance fixture.

Poppy sellers and bucket collectors from the Royal British Legion will be present at the stadium on Saturday, collecting money for this year's Poppy Appeal. The Royal British Legion standard bearer will lead the two teams out and a minute's silence will be held before kick-off, in a mark of respect for the fallen.

In addition to this, a limited edition Mitre matchball, branded with The Royal British Legion’s iconic Poppy logo will be used.

The balls are part of a campaign by EFL title sponsor Sky Bet to raise funds for this year’s Poppy Appeal, and a signed shirt from each of the 48 League One and Two teams will be auctioned later this month.

In two previous campaigns working alongside the legion they have raised over £200,000. To register your interest in the auction, please visit: www.skybet.com/poppy.

Advance tickets for Saturday's game are available online at www.borotickets.co.uk or in-person from the club shop at the below prices until 5pm (in-store) or midnight (online).
