RESERVES DRAW 1-1 WITH CAMBRIDGE UNITED

18 October 2016

A Stevenage reserve side came from behind to draw 1-1 with Cambridge United at Bragbury End this afternoon.

Despite going a goal down to an early Cambridge header, Boro fought back and levelled on 67 minutes when Steve Schumacher's in-swinging free-kick evaded everyone and nestled in the bottom corner.

With defences largely on top throughout the match, chances were at a premium for both sides although Chris Day was forced into a couple of good saves.

Steve Schumacher completed 90 minutes as did Nathan Kerr, Mark McKee, Rowan Liburd and Jake Hyde, with six scholars also featuring.

Stevenage XI: Day, Kerr, Wilmot, Croud (O'Keefe 60), Omar, Tonge (Guerfi 30), Schumacher, McKee, Slater, Liburd, Hyde.
