We preview Saturday's home game against the Red Devils...
Team news:
Stevenage welcome back Jobi McAnuff and Dale Gorman from international duty for this game and with both Luke Wilkinson and Ben Kennedy also back in training, it gives manager Darren Sarll a pleasant selection problem after last weekend's convincing win.
Crawley Town could hand a debut to former Chelsea midfielder Aliu Kaby Djalo after the Guinea-Bissau international joined the club earlier this week. There could also be changes between the sticks with Chelsea loanee Mitchell Beeney knocking on the door to replace Yusuf Mersin who conceded three at Portsmouth last weekend. Striker Matt Harrold is a doubt with a knock but winger Jordan Roberts (toe) is out.
View from the dressing room:
Stevenage managerial advisor Glenn Roeder: “This week we have had a couple of afternoons because we haven’t had a game on a Tuesday, so we have been doing double sessions just to make sure we keep the fitness topped up to the levels that we know we need to carry out the amount of running that is needed in a game.
“It is a game we need to win, we need back-to-back wins. In any of the leagues there aren’t any easy games and you would think that Crawley would be hurting badly from the 3-0 defeat to Portsmouth and they will want to fight back. We will need to meet that challenge, especially early on in the game and take our game to them.”
