Video & Quotes from the boss...

  • Sarll on the game as a whole…

“We are pleased with the consistency of the side; we are pleased with the organisation today and we feel like we were probably the better side.

“They had 15-20 minutes in the belly of the second half but I thought other than that we were the better side. Definitely first half and intermittently second.

“The great thing at the moment is this team is learning, moving forward and doing it whilst picking up points. If we are learning at the detriment of winning games or picking up points, then we have got a problem.

“It is only an honest error on the day by someone who isn’t going to make too many of them that has seen us take a point. I am ok with the point.”

  • Sarll on Newton scoring his second goal in as many games...

“He claws every inch with his finger nails. He is certainly trying to make up for his time in the amateur game and two in two for him will give him great belief that he belongs in the Football League.

“He has got off to a terrific start but we have to be careful with him still. The intensity of the games is completely different to what he is used to physically. He is going to need breaks, but I thought his work ethic today was great.

“We have still got to polish him up a little bit - and that will only come with time on the training pitch - we are delighted with his contribution today.”
