“I don’t think it is major a relief because of the way the club handles itself during these times.
“I have said before, I think we were 3 losses in 9 before today. It didn’t feel around the training ground like loss, loss, loss, loss, loss.
“There wasn’t a real negativity around it, there was a disappointment but there was never a negativity.
"I applaud the players for that and I applaud them for their belief, and I applaud them for the way they have stuck together this week.
“I though they were brilliant all week and it was nice for everyone to see - which I see quite often between Monday to Friday - that kind of performance, that type of electricity.
“After many hours of rehearsal, the players managed to put on a real show-stopping performance when the curtains opened and the lights came down.
“We are pleased and it takes us into Boxing Day in a totally different way.”
