After a fabulous February that saw Stevenage go unbeaten and win five games out of six, manager Darren Sarll and striker Matt Godden have both been nominated for EFL end of month honours.
Wins over Grimsby, Crawley, Wycombe, Cheltenham and Leyton Orient, along with a draw at Exeter saw Boro pick up 16 points across the month and has provided a springboard for a possible promotion push.
The boss is up against Notts County manager Kevin Nolan, Morecambe’s Jim Bentley and Luton Town’s Nathan Jones.
Although there could have been any number of nominees for player of the month from the Stevenage team, Matt Godden’s six goals throughout February have been hard to ignore.
He is nominated alongside fellow striker, Adebayo Akinfenwa and fellow Matthew’s, Matty Kennedy from Plymouth and Matt Clarke from Portsmouth.
The winners will be announced on Friday 10th March.
