SARLL: IT IS BECOMING A LOVELY HABIT

4 March 2017

Darren Sarll could barely hide he delight after seeing his side pick up another three points with a 3-0 win over Notts County.

That is now 22 points won out of the last 24 available and Sarll says his team were well worthy of the win.

“It is becoming a lovely habit on a Saturday at 5 o’clock to come out nice and relaxed and very positive about our football club and what we are doing here. I thought it was a really good performance today and a very satisfying win as well.

“It's great and very pleasing to replicate what we do Monday to Friday and see the boys be brave enough to do it. They are in that place at the moment where they can see that what we are doing is bringing them a lot of success and joy to their weekends. It is nice to see them work off a plan and execute it so well.

“Every time we try and play, try and pass it, every time we do get two or three passes together, we look a real threat.”

The win moved Boro up a place in the table and just three points off an automatic promotion spot ahead of our crunch clash at Luton Town next Saturday.

“We have just got to keep doing our job. Luton next week is a huge fixture for the mere reason it is Luton. It is even bigger now because both sides will be tucked tightly into the playoffs and there will be a lot to play for.

“We just need to concentrate on Luton as a project. It is a new project every Saturday and we have to ensure our focus is firmly fixed on that task.

“When you got to Luton you need to have a bit of character and you need strong men, strong personalities. If they can’t go to Luton with a belief and a confidence this year then they never will because they are in terrific form, absolutely terrific form.”
